Hotel Villa Canu

“A lovely hotel that hides a little world within, the rooms surrounding a traditional courtyard where breakfast can be taken. This area leads down to the wonderfully arranged pool area. The staff were excellent, and the service impeccable.”

“It was a really pleasant experience with a few quirks. The location is a major highlight—right in the heart of the center, making it super convenient for restaurants. Parking was surprisingly hassle-free with spots available on nearby streets, which is a big plus for anyone driving. Just read the signs carefully. The breakfast was enjoyable, with a decent spread of fresh options—pastries, fruits, and the usual continental fare. However, it’s worth noting that the hotel doesn’t have its own kitchen, so the breakfast menu is consistent (read: identical) every day. If you’re staying for a longer period, the lack of variety might feel a bit repetitive. The pool and garden area were absolutely stunning—a true oasis! The beautifully landscaped garden and sparkling pool created a calm, relaxing vibe. It’s rare to find such a serene spot in the city center, and I loved how peaceful it always felt. On the downside, the mattresses were a bit on the firm side, which might not suit everyone’s taste. The rooms had a distinct retro vibe, which was charming in its own way but felt a little dated. Bathroom rather small, shower really small. Still, the cleanliness and service were great, and the staff were really nice. Overall, I’d recommend Villa Canu for its prime location, gorgeous pool and garden, and solid breakfast. Just be prepared for a retro room aesthetic and firmer beds. Perfect for a short getaway.”
